What we collect when you request a teardown or email us, and what we do with it.
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This policy explains how Avernora (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit this website, request a website teardown or contact us. Avernora is operated by ST Consulting, a sole proprietorship of Samu Timonen registered in Finland (Business ID 3618254-7), which is the controller of your information. Questions: samu@stconsulting.fi.
What we collect
- What you type into the teardown form: your name, email, company, website address, phone number if you add it, how new clients usually reach you and any details you write.
- Messages you send us by email, and what you tell us during a project.
- Basic technical logs. Our hosting provider records IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking on this website.
How we use it
- To write and send the teardown you asked for, and to reply to your messages.
- To prepare a quote and, if we work together, to deliver the project.
- To keep the website secure and working.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don’t add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails. If we follow up about your teardown, it’s a personal email, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
- Web3Forms, which passes the form to our inbox.
- Google Workspace, which hosts our email.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Professional advisers and authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
- A buyer or successor if the business is sold or transferred.
We don’t sell or share your personal information for advertising.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy, correct it, or delete it unless we must keep it, for example for accounting. Email samu@stconsulting.fi from the address you used with us. An authorized agent can make a request with your written permission. We’ll respond within 45 days. If we decline, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we’ll respond within 60 days. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Because we are based in Finland, the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies. We use your information to take steps you ask for before a contract and to perform it (the teardown, quotes and projects), for our legitimate interest in answering inquiries and keeping the site secure, and to meet legal obligations. You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We are in Finland, we work with US businesses, and our providers process information in the US and the EU. When information leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Teardown requests and related emails are kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless we start a project. Project and invoicing records are kept as long as Finnish accounting law requires, generally up to ten years. Hosting logs are kept for the short periods set by the provider.
Security
We use reputable providers and keep access to your information to what is needed. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
